ComicBookGame! is a simulation game made for comic book collectors, by a collector. Buy, hold, and flip comics without spending a real dime.

Practice the art of identifying key issues, timing the market, and managing a collection — all within a risk-free sandbox environment.

This is a demo. All prices are simulated. ComicBookGame! is not affiliated with eBay, any auction platform, or real financial institutions.

Enable Simulated Market from the footer to start the clock. Time moves in months. One tick every 20 seconds. The Log tab records everything that happens.

Every month, $50.00 is deducted from your Cash for cost of living. If you can't cover it, the payment is skipped and you receive a strike. Three consecutive strikes and it's Game Over. Paying resets your strike count.

Each month you choose: Work to earn $60.00, or attend an Event, a local sale or convention where discounted comics are available to add to your portfolio. You can also enable Auto-Work in the footer to skip the choice and earn automatically.

While the simulation runs, comic prices fluctuate each tick with a slight upward bias mimicking long-term appreciation. Watch your portfolio value in the Dashboard and sell at the right moment for maximum profit.

If you miss cost of living payments three months in a row, the game ends. Sell comics to stay liquid, work consistently, and don't let your Cash run dry.

All game data is stored locally in your browser using localStorage. Nothing is sent to any server. Clearing your browser data will reset your game.

We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal or financial data. No cookies, no analytics, no accounts required.

This is a demo application. Do not enter real financial information. All prices and transactions are fictional simulations.
